Flames Fall Classic "A" Finalists!
Submitted By April Perks on Monday, November 28, 2016

On Saturday, November 26th, the Apsley Flames Peewee team finished in second place at the Flames Fall Classic Tournament in Apsley.

In their first game, they defeated the Clarington Kings by a score of 6-1.  Ethan Wilkes and Noah Olauson scored two goals each, with singles added by Callum and Keagan Perks. Game MVP was awarded to goaltender, James Herbert.

The Flames second game of the day ended in a 5-2 win for Apsley.  Goals scored by Mitchel Kirton, Hayden Rosborough, Cael Osborne, Keagan Perks and Noah Olauson.  Defenseman, Hayden Rosborough was crowned the Game MVP.

With their two wins, the Peewee Flames advanced to the "A" Championship game.  After a tough battle, they fell 2-1 to the Lindsay Muskies in a very close game.  The lone goal was scored by Mitchel Kirton and the Game MVP was awarded to centre, Cael Osborne.

Overall, it was a fantastic day!  Thanks so much to all of the parent volunteers and the visiting teams who helped make this happen.
