Bob Black Memorial Tournament Champions!

On Family Day Weekend, five of our Apsley Flames teams participated in the Durham Crusaders 12th Annual Bob Black Memorial Tournament in Oshawa.

The Midget team won 1 out of 3 of their games with two severely injured teammates watching from the stands.  The Novice team won 2 out of 3 of their round robin games and finished their pool in 2nd place.  They won their 4th game and ended up the 'B' Champions.
Both the Peewee and Bantam teams won their pools and advanced to the semi-finals.  Unfortunately they both lost to the teams that went on to win their respective divisions.  The Peewees and Bantams both ended up finishing in the top four out of sixteen teams!  The Apsley Flames Atom team won all three of their round robin games. They won their semi-final game 3-1 with an empty net goal and won the championship game in over time by a score of 4-3!  Congratulations to all five teams!
