Apsley Minor Hockey Bottle Drive
The 2021 AMHA Bottle Drive is underway and will run until Labour Day Weekend.  Drop off location is 321 Burleigh Street, across from Woody's in Apsley.

The 2020 AMHA Bottle Drive was a huge success and raised over $5000!  This was a huge help to our little association.  We want to thank everyone who contributed their empties to last summer's fundraising efforts. We appreciate your support.

The 2020/21 hockey season was like nothing we had ever seen before.  We started up a little later than usual but were able to run our programs as best we could.  We reduced our registration fees knowing that the season wouldn't comprise of the usual events that we've come to enjoy, such as tournaments, jamborees, playoffs and year end awards.  Thankfully, our teams were able to practice and participate in a few travelling games with other centres in our health unit.  Unfortunately, this was paused with the second provincial lockdown after Christmas and ended altogether when our health unit entered into "RED" in early March.   We were able to make the most out of the little time that we had but we are definitely looking forward to the eventual return to hockey as we once knew it.

Despite restrictions due to Covid-19 and contrary to minor hockey associations across the province, we saw our registration numbers increase this past season.  Apsley had more hockey registrations than ever before, exceeding 100 players, which is a lot for Apsley!

Due to the interruption and abrupt end to hockey, we decided to refund our hockey families and only ended up charging $100 per player for the 2020/21 season.  The OMHA credited us a small portion of our insurance and assessment fees which helped, but the biggest reason we were able to do this was because of the funds raised in the 2020 AMHA Bottle Drive.  So again, thank you so much to our hockey families, cottagers and locals who contributed last summer and who have already dropped off their empties for this year's bottle drive.  We appreciate it!
