We are pleased to announce that Apsley Minor Hockey will be one of the hosts for the LEO U9 Championship Day on Saturday, March 26th.
Teams finishing 1st through 6th in the LEO U9 standings will participate in the LEO U9 Championship Day in Apsley. Teams finishing 7th through 12th in the LEO U9 standings will particiapte in the LEO U9 Championship Day in Havelock.
Teams will be seeded based on LEO standings at the end of the full ice season. Ties in league standings will be broken using LEO rules.
We should know where every team stands by Sunday, March 13th when the full ice season ends. Schedules and rules will be sent out sometime that week.
The fee for the LEO U9 Championship Day will be $350 per team. This will cover the cost of ice, refs, time keepers, etc. Every team will play three games, including two round robin games and a championship game. Teams will be presented with LEO Champions or Finalists trophies or plaques after their third game.
Games will consist of 3 10 minute stop-time periods. There will be no overtime in the round robin games, only in the championship games, if necessary.
The LEO U9 Championship Day will run from 9am - 6pm. There will be player awards for every game and lunch provided for all players and team staff.
